Description
Isn’t it notable that according to the bible the destiny of the whole humanity was premised on obedience ; not just obedience but obedience that stemmed from the consumption or lack of consumption of food
Ge 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made.
And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Isn’t it notable that humanity was sold to slavery and the control of the devil through the desire to eat , by our great grannies Adam and Eve
It is remarkable as well that food has remained powerful as a means of exchange; not just the exchange of goods, but of destinies. The whole earth was leased to devil by Adam based on the consumption of a fruit, Esau lost his birthright through the acceptance of ‘a bargain pottage’.
It worthy of note as well that the last Adam (Jesus Christ); was able to regain the dignity and authority lost by the first Adam by refusing to submit to the lure of a simple bread loaf in-spite of a long period of fasting
The devil urged him on ‘turn this stone into bread’. But the master had the right answer.
‘Man shall not live by bread alone but by the words that proceedeth out of the mouth of God’.
Mathew 4:4
By so doing, Jesus did not only demonstrate the supremacy of revelation over ‘rations’, or the supremacy of the ‘cup’ over the ‘cauldron’.
But also the discipline of vision over victuals and of his mind over his stomach! He had won where the ‘first Adam’ and many of his offspring had failed and lost! By the same token he reaf- firmed the fact that ordinary food could affect human life in an extra ordinary and negative way ;and he was not
going to be a victim! Thank God for the power of ‘the Last Adam’.
This book will show you not just pitfalls but path ways to victory in a continuous battle to seize undue control of the destinies of men, by hells simplest but yet most effective and mysterious arsenal – FOOD.
